July 4th, 2024 started out on the boat on Big Cedar Lake enjoying the best time of year in the midwest blasting Toby Keith. Later that evening both sides of our family were getting together to enjoy a BBQ. Kayla was in the kitchen helping prep dinner with her mom and Marla (Brenton's mom) while the rest of the family was outside getting the decorations setup. Brenton walked into the kitchen and grabbed Kayla's hand to bring her outside while 'Thank God' by Kane Brown was playing. Surrounded by our families and our furry son Ollie, Brenton got down on one knee and proposed! It was the most special moment we will never forget!
